Have added a review of the A7 Series II and Coniston from Hi-Fi Review magazine, from 1987. Contains come useful insight into these older speaker models.
I’ve added some info and nice photos of the Royd Sapphire II’s, thanks to Carlos Contreras.
Statistics on the Royd Prior are now online. Many thanks to Ian H (of pink fish media) for these. These are definitely one of the rarer models.
We now have some info and photos of the Royd A14 thanks to James Evans.
I’ve added a new Reviews section, where you can find reproductions of reviews of various Royd models from many old publications. As with any hi-fi review, one should bear in mind these will be the opinion of the review and shouldn’t be taken as gospel truth. That said, they do give you an idea of how they compared to other kit at the time, the retails prices back in the day and generally how well regarded they were.
If anyone has any other reviews they’d like to contribute, please get in touch and I’ll reproduce them here on the site.
Mike Hanson, the web developer behind the original Royd Audio website has been kind enough to let me use the the domain name www.roydaudio.com for this website. As you may or not know, the original website had been down for sometime, however Mike has agreed to let this new site take its place. I must iterate though, that although RoydAudio.com was originally the official company website, this is no longer the case, this site is now a fan site run by and for enthusiasts of Royd Audio speakers. That said Mike will be stopping by here as an editor acting in a limited capacity as commitments permit.
If anyone is interested in visiting the old site, a copy can be found here:-
Welcome to this new site! We hope it will be useful in satisfying your thirst for information on Royd Audio Speakers.
